A quick and easy growing experiment to do with your preschooler

You Will Need:

Alfalfa Seeds or Radish Seeds

Several Cellulose Sponges

- First, cut the sponges into small rectangles

- Second, have your child soak each piece of sponge in water and then wring most of the water out

- Next, have your child place the sponge on a small plastic plate(s).

- Sprinkle the seeds onto the wet sponge pieces and seal each plate in a resealable plastic bag

- Place the bag by a window and watch your seeds sprout!

This experiment can also be done with grass seeds. Then, when the grass is tall enough, have your child trim the grass with scissors
