ree

RECIPE “1”

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup Elmer’s craft glue

  • 1/2 teaspoon borax

  • 1 1/2 cups hot water, divided

  • 1/4 cup fine sand

Steps:

     1. Combine 1/2 cup of glue with 1/2 cup of hot water and mix well.

     2. Add 1/4 cup “Natural Sand” to the glue and stir well.

     3. Mix a 1/2 teaspoon of borax with the remaining cup of hot water separately. Stir constantly until the borax is dissolved.

     4. Now pour the borax water into your glue mixture and stir constantly. The mixture of ingredients should quickly start coming together and form slime.

     5. Pour out the excess of water.

6- Start kneading the slime with your hands for a few minutes.

RECIPE "2”

You will need:

  • 1 cup Elmer’s Glue

  • 1/2 cup liquid Starch

  • 1 cup shaving Cream (to get that fluffy texture).

  • 1/2-3/4 cup sand

  • Food Coloring (ptional)

Steps:

1- Use a large bowl and fill it with 1 cup of white glue

2- Add in about a cup of foamy shaving cream and mix it together with a spatula

3- Add 1/2 cup  fine sand and start mixing. (if you prefer more sand, you can use up to 3/4 cup of fine craft sand in this sand slime recipe)

4- Add 1/2 cup of liquid starch (The starch is the slime activator)

5- Stir the starch into the sand slime base.

6- Start kneading the slime with your hands for a few minutes. If it is still too sticky, just add a little more starch.

Tips:

- It is recommended to have your children wash their hands after playing.

- If you wish you can add food coloring to the mixture to create colorful sand slime.

- Sand slime should be stored in a sealed bag or tight container so it can be used again.

Hope your children have fun stretching and pulling the squishy sand slime!
