Symmetrical Art

We demonstrate to our students that shapes on one side of a line are exactly the same on the other side of a line. A butterfly and a heart are both good examples for symmetric items. 

Your child can collect different leaves. 

- Have them to pick their favorite leaf. 

- Ask them to cut it in half and glue it into their nature journals. 

- You can encourage them to draw and color the other half as close to the real thing as possible, in a symmetrical pattern.
